My boys love handing out treat bags and candy canes at Christmas. Just about everyone they've ever met will receive one :)
Using the 'Place Card' feature on the Cricut Christmas Cheer cartridge, I was able to make these sweet little treat bag toppers. Cut at 4.25 inches.

Here Comes Santa Claus...
Another fun layout using Cricut's Jolly Holiday cart. This page is all ready for some photos of my kids at this years Christmas Parade which is in town next week. EXCITING!!!
Last year our Christmas Parade had a surprise visit from Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers. It was fantastic but as you can imagine I had a very hard time getting my boys to even acknowledge poor Santa. He certainly had his limelight stolen that day... LOL
For this layout, Santa in his sleigh was cut at 3.5 inches and 3 inches for his reindeer. The title was made using Baby Steps font and welding in Cricut Craft Room.
I used 2 DCWV photo mats to make the patterned strip and my fav border punch to jazz up the plain red cardstock.

Pooh & Friends Page Frames
Too cute!! Using the Cricut Pooh & Friends cartridge I cut the frames at 5 inches and embellished them with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet. An extremely easy way to scrap a photo.
I am thinking of making some of these for Christmas gifts and attaching magnets to the back. I rekon they'd be fun to have stuck on the fridge with the kids photos behind them. Pin It

Jolly Holidays
Exciting!! Less than 3 months to go. The kids are starting to make their lists (eeek). The older they get, the more expensive the list. They still want whatever fad is going around at the moment (this week it's Trash Packs) but add to that they've learnt all about game consoles. Playstation for the 4 year old, Xbox for the 7 year old. Sorry kids. Even Santa has a budget.
We have family coming from Australia for Christmas, so I am making up a few pages in advance. I purchased the Jolly Holidays cartridge last year but have hardly used it. The images are awesome.
The little elves are cut at 3 inches. I added some of those wiggly eyes for extra cuteness. The title is cut at 2 inches. The tree is 4 inches and is from Create A Critter 2. The gifts are also from CAC2 and are cut at 2 inches and 1 inch.
I used DCWV glitter mats and a strip from the 'Mrs Claus Kitchen Stack'. I love this stack!! Pin It

Cute As Can Bee
Don't you just love the new Teddy Bear Parade cart? This little bee is just adorable.
For this layout I used a 3.5 inch bear and little bee accessories from Teddy Bear Parade Cart. 2 little bees from Pooh and Friends cart were cut at 1 inch and the font is from Cricut Craft Room basics (and embossed with swiss dots). I used my Fiskars Threading Water punch for the border and found some rather 'Cheerful' Creative Memories paper in my stash.
I am planning on making my own Christmas cards this year ( I say that every year and then a week before Christmas I am running around town buying cards to post before the cut off date.. tee hee hee). Anyways, the Santa Bear, Elf Bear & Reindeer Bear on the Teddy Parade cartridge are soo cute. I have already cut out a few and it's only September!! I'm off to a good start. Go Me!!! Pin It

Happy Birthday with Create A Critter 2
I just love this little pig from the new Cricut cartridge - Create A Critter 2. I so cannot wait for it to reach New Zealand. I think it may be better than the original. I had a ball with the few free images that were in Cricut Craft Room. I wish I had of cut more.
For these 8x8 layouts I cut the pigs at 3.5 inches, the title at 2 inches, the little cupcake at 1.75 inches and the balloons at 2.5 inches.
The scalloped circle is from Cricut Craft Room Basics and is cut at 2 inches.
I used the DCWV Celebration stack with the pink and blue layout and a scrap of cupcake paper that I've had forever in the purple layout.

My Super Hero
After complaining to my poor hubby about the lack of usable supplies amongst my craft stash, I realised something. All of those DCWV stacks and matstacks that I've been collecting, are meant to be used not collected. I've been toying with the idea of getting some actual scrapbooking done for a while now. I call myself a scrapbooker, when in fact I've become a hoarder.
So I pulled out the first stack, put my finger on the perforated line, pulled gently and tore the page right down the middle. Grrr... Guess I'll make a card out of that page.
Anyways, I put on a DVD for the kids, made them a snack and got down to some serious scrapping. I completed 3 pages. Woo-hoo.
Here are 2 8x8 layouts and 1 12x12 layout made using the 'All About Boys Stack' and my 'Paper Dolls Dress Up' Cricut cart. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I love to use simple but fun layouts in my boys albums. I got 2 little thumbs up from the kids and a 'that's nice dear' from the hubby. I'm feelin pretty good.
