A2 Card Kit and Holder

I just adore this little card kit that I put together for my Mother-In-Law for Mother's Day.

She's starting to get into card making so I thought I'd collect some bits and pieces to help her on her way. Gorgeous ribbon, paper roses, adhesive pearls and some blank A2 cards.

The holder was made using my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file from my fav designer Lori Whitlock.

Glad she loved it. I'll need to make one for my own desk now.

Kaisercraft - 'Sea Breeze' Cards

My Artfull Crafts Design Team project for this week is 2 cards that I made using the Kaisercraft Sea Breeze collection.

I barely had a few moments to myself over the school holidays, so each card took only a few moments to put together. I used the Sea Breeze 6x6 Paper Pad and the Sea Breeze Collectables along with a few paper flowers and the cards came together very quickly.

The first is an A2 sized step card. And the second a 5"x5" square card.

The whole collection is based around the colour teal / turquoise. Very pretty.

Kaisercraft 'Story Book' Book Box

Another Design Team project for Artfull Crafts. This time using the 'Story Book' collection by Kaisercraft. This collection has a lovely heritage feel to it and the papers are gorgeous. Perfect for this weeks project.

   

There are many tutorials online for making Book Boxes (or Hidden Compartment Boxes). I used my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file from Lori Whitlock. The box was fairly easy to put together. (Lori has a YouTube channel with tutorials for her 3D projects).

I love how the edges of my box look like real pages.

Kaisercraft 'Old Mac' Layouts

As part of the design team for Artfull Crafts, I was given some of the Old Mac collection by Kaisercraft to have a play with. Such a fun collection of papers and embellishemnts. I love the denim and corrugated iron look papers. Oh, and the little horseshoe embellishments... very cute!!

I made 2 layouts with the collection. A traditional 12x12 layout and a pocket page layout.

Perfect papers for photos of my 2 little cowboys on our friends farm. The little collectable embellishments are a perfect addition to the layouts.

Happy Snaps - Camera Mini Album

Ooh, I love sweet little mini's.

This little mini album is a cut file by Lori Whitlock and was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. All papers and embellishments are from the Kaisercraft 'Happy Snaps' collection. The stamps used are also from Kaisercraft. The set is called 'Calendar'.

Had never made a shutter card before! All that measuring, cutting and scoring seemed like a bit of a headache. I found a cut file and cut this one using my Silhouette Cameo. So simple. So pretty.

Altered Notebook

Another old project of mine that I unearthed during the 'Great Craftroom Cleanout'.

I love notebooks!! I go through so many. I make a lot of lists. It makes me feel more organised than I actually am. Altering notebooks is fun too.

This is one that I made for a Warehouse Stationery advertising promotion a couple of years back. It featured in their catalogues and on the website. The paper collection was called 'My Favourite Recipe' by Rosie's Studio. The whole collection reminds me of my late Nana's Kitchen & her tablecloths, tea-towels etc. The plan is to track down some of her old recipes and store them in this book.

Happy 2016!!!

Happy New Year!

After a bit of a tidy and a de-clutter of my craftroom, I am feeling ready to get back into it.

One of my goals for 2016 is to do more off the page projects. Scrapbooking is definitely my thing and I love it but in the past I've really enjoyed going 'beyond the page'.

Below is my Book Page Topiary from 2014. I spent weeks punching flowers from old books, then inking and layering them. I was so sick of paper flowers by the time the project was completed (I'm only just starting to play with them again now, ha ha).
